A new Majesco title announces new squad command game for DS...

The title, Operation: Vietnam, a "Squad-Based Action Game" has just been announced by Majesco for the Nintendo DS.

A chopper flight goes over a worn-torn Vietnam ends up in disaster as a transport is shot down inside Viet Cong territory. You must rally your troops and fight your way through the surrounding enemy forces to safety. Along the way you have to fight of assaults and liberate any oppressed villagers.

So, it won't win any prizes for story, but it uses the touch screen for squad commands, inventory, maps and switching characters. You'll get to fight off soldiers, tanks, turrets, enemy barracks and more. To add to the squad element, different soldiers have different weapons and abilities.

Operation: Vietnam is developed by Coyote Console and is scheduled for a worldwide release this autumn
