Nintendo of Europe are finally close to allowing gamers' Stars to be transferred to Wii Points! Plus, important news for Nintendo-Europe site members inside.
Members of Nintendo Europe's site are currently being e-mailed, asking them to log-in to their accounts and accept the new privacy policy to allow Nintendo to "implement additional features" and to improve existing products by "adapting them to our users' needs and preferences."
We expect this means brand-spanking new features for the Nintendo-Europe site, and the much-anticipated feature which will allow you to swap Stars for Wii Points via the Stars Catalogue, meaning users with Stars stockpiled will be able to download plenty of Virtual Console titles for free.
Its important to note that users must agree to Nintendo's new privacy policy by July 15th, 2007 or their account will be de-activated. Also, as previously reported, Stars will from July 15th only be valid for 24 months after addition to your profile, with previously existing stars on that date being valid until June 1, 2008. But with Wii Points to swap for, there should be now worry about that.
But exactly when will Nintendo add this long-awaited feature? All they're saying is "soon", though our best guess is shortly after the July 15th deadline. We'll keep you posted.
