Sega's sublime Virtua Tennis series finally comes to Wii!

We all have many happy memories of blowing all our upper-body energy on lengthy Wii Sports tennis sessions, so it's time to rejoice! New balls please, because Virtua Tennis 2009 is coming to a Wii near you May 2009.

The Wii version of Virtua Tennis 2009 boasts the same hefty roster of players as other platforms, plus a wide range of single player, multiplayer and online modes. All this on a vibrant set of 40 courts to play on.

There's no further details of the game for the time being, not least whether it will utilise Wii MotionPlus. Wii Sports: Resort still hasn't been dated, so it may be clutching at straws to hope for some 1:1 forehand action this Spring.
