Wario Ware wins an Award at the Edinburgh Festival!

You may not know this, but running paralel to this years' Edinburgh Festival was a fairly low-key gaming event.

When we think of the Edinburgh Festival, our thoughts mostly turn to experimental films, comedians and legitimate theatre... this year, Wario Ware stood up and was counted as one of the most innovative games of the year.

In a search organised by Edge magazine, Wario Ware on the GBA beat off competition from the likes of Prince of Persia and Sony's Eye Toy: Play -both of which came runner up to Nintendo's wacky game of intuition and innovation.

When we told Wario about the award, he seemed rather disappointed that there was no cash prize to accompany it. Ah well, I guess he'll just have to settle for being another example of Nintendo's ground-breaking innovation.
