News: WarioWare DIY Downloadable & More

This week's downloadable releases lie inside, including WarioWare DIY!

From today gamers can download WarioWare: Do It Yourself - Showcase for the Wii, allowing players to play wacky microgames with friends and show off their own WarioWare creations from the WarioWare: DIY DS title on the big screen. The Showcase allows you to transfer microgames, music and comics from the Nintendo DS version to enjoy on your Wii console, share microgames with your friends via Wi-Fi Connection, and enjoy the selection of exclusive microgames provided with the Showcase that you can play on the TV or transfer to the DS to take with you on the go. It costs just 800 Points.

Also on WiiWare this week is 5 Arcade Gems from Nordcurrent, which for 700 Points allows you to, unsurprisingly, play five wacky arcade games. There is something for everyone - medieval knights, space-shooting, pizza-delivering, RC Racing, and lumberjack trials.

There's also some Pay & Play add-on content for Capcom's Mega Man 10, offering an Endless Attack Mode (300 Points) plus Special Stage 2 & 3 (100 Points each).

On DSiWare meanwhile comes Save the Turtles, where players must help turtles hatch and get to the safety of the sea. Here's a look at the title, which costs 500 Points:

Also on DSiWare comes Surviving High School, from EA for 800 Points, featuring various football and school-themed mini-games and quizzes. DodoGo! from Neko Entertainment for 800 Points where you must save Dodo eggs in the time of dinosaurs Get ready for some adventure in the time of the dinosaurs. You'll need to save as many Dodo eggs as possible by leading them to safety, using the Nintendo DS stylus to shape, brush, saw and dig the landscape, even using explosives:

Finally on DSiWare comes Simply Solitaire from Engine Software for 200 Points, which does exactly what it says on the tin: pure Solitaire, with over 50 puzzles in each level. Also VT Tennis from Virtual Toys for 500 Points, where you can train your budding tennis star to serve, lob and smash your way to victory with precision swipes in all directions, using its innovative stylus and Touch Screen controls. Advance your player statistics in this fast-paced tournament of game modes, featuring Quickmatch, Tennis School & World Championship.

Rounding the week out is a single Virtual Console release - The King of Fighters '95 , originally released by D4 Enterprise on the NEOGEO, and now available for 900 Wii Points. The main characters from classic series Fatal Fury, Ikari Warriors, Psycho Soldier and Art of Fighting return, ready to rumble. Joining them is Iori Yagami, a rival of hero Kyo Kusanagi, ready to leave his mark on the continuing story - and on Kyo! Three-on-three team battles, a power gauge that unleashes devastating blows as well as the series' unique one-shot reversal super special moves.
