The Renegade Kid chief gives a big thumbs-up to today's 3DS price drop announcement...

Nintendo may have only this morning announced the fabled 3DS price cut, but the industry is already reacting to the news.

Renegade Kid co-founder and director Jools Watsham has praised Nintendo's decision to slash the console's price by about a third on his Twitter page. He said that "it feels like I have woken up to a new world. The 3DS price drop is a game changer." He also added that a small price drop in software to DS levels would be beneficial.

Renegade Kid are best known for developing a stream of technically accomplished games for DS, including Dementium and Moon. The studio is currently developing at least three games for 3DS: Face Racers: Photo Finish from Majesco, Planet Crashers 3D from Ignition and an original title for the 3DS eShop in the form of Mutant Mudds.
