Another developer signs up for the Wii, and give hints as to their first title...
WayForward have confirmed themselves as Wii developers. They have previously released a lot of licensed titles on DS and GBA (like, er... Barbie, SpongeBob and X-Men), as well as a few original games.
One of their original titles, Shantae, a sort-of Castlevania/Metroid hybrid, staring a dancing Genie (who shares her name with the game's title). It was released on the Game Boy Color late in its life, and received some good reviews - but never sold well due to the release of the GBA. WayForward's logo includes some new concept art of Shantae, which suggests that the series (which consists of the GBC game, and the unreleased Shantae Advance for GBA) could make it to the Wii.
Matt Bozon of WayForward likes the idea of distributing not via retailers, but via the Wii Shop channel. He said he would even like to be able to release DS games through the Wii Shop Channel, then downloaded by the DS from the Wii.
