News: We Daren't Launch That in the UK

It seems that Ubisoft feel that the UK will not be as open to We Dare as the rest of Europe.

When Ubisoft announced We Dare it caused an outcry in many circles due to its adult nature and 12+ ratings certificate. Shortly after announcing it the company stated it would not be released in America and it has now been announced that it will not see a UK release either.

An official statement from Ubisoft to The Telegraph states: "Following the public reaction to the 12+ rating of We Dare, Ubisoft has made the decision not to sell the game in the United Kingdom."

While the content of the game is actually suitable for anyone over the age of 12, confirmed by Laurie Hall, director general of the Video Standards Council shortly after the game's announcement, the advertising campaign caused a flurry of outrage and it seems to have gotten through to Ubisoft. Currently We Dare is only planned for release in the rest of Europe and Australia, so if any UK fans want to engage in spanking they will have to do so without any assistance form Ubisoft.
