What's this? New facts on SpongeBob's latest game? Quick, to the Invisible Boatmobile!

THQ are cashing in on the Wii, GBA, DS and they are milking away at that pineapple, bent on bringing more SpongeBob SquarePants games to Nintendo's consoles. After the relatively well-received Creature from the Krusty Krab, it would only seem logical for a sequel to be in the pipeline, and THQ have released some details about the game for your reading pleasure.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Atlantis Squarepantis follows the epic adventures of SpongeBob and Patrick as they find an amulet which magically transports them to the lost city of Atlantis. You travel on a musically-powered magic bus and have the option to play as six characters: SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and Plankton). Unravel the mysteries of Atlantis in order to complete SpongeBob's quest, which is to find the 'World's Oldest Bubble'. Interesting.

The game also features replayable levels to better your previous scores, a Director's Commentary from the yellow sponge himself, multiplayer minigames in an in-game arcade, driving an ice-cream firing Atlantean Tank, creating music to power the magic bus and customisation of SpongeBob (including accessories and facial expressions).
