The Nintendo Wii has passed the 3 million mark for total console sales in Japan...

The Wii is constantly the top selling home console in Japan, and now Nintendo have passed 3.01 million sales, with a little bit of help from the recent release of Dragon Quest Swords. Sony's PlayStation 3 has recently passed 1.01 million sales. The Wii is sold for 25,000 Yen (�100 approx), less than half the price of the basic PS3 package.

Each week, the Wii is only topped in weekly sales by the DS, which has achieved 18 million units sold in Japan since December 2004.
