News: Wii Music Hits Japan In October

So, think you're a budding musician? You'll want to keep an eye on Wii Music, heading to Japanese Wiis as early as next month.

As many Nintendo fans will fondly remember, Wii Music played a big part at the E3 presentation this year. It was common knowledge that the title would release this year, but now that vague window has been narrowed down... in Japan at least.

Courtesy of gaming Bible Famitsu, we can report that the quirky music simulator will be available in Japan this October for the sum of 5,800 (around US$ 54). Wii Music is also expected to hit all other territories before the year is up.

Hey, hey. Do YOU wanna be a rockstar?

Over 60 different instruments are at your disposal in Wii Music, with different movements using the Wii Remote, Nunchuck and Balance Board required to play them. You'll also be able to record and send snippets of your genius to friends. Finally, the "Orchestra" mini-game mode has been confirmed for the final game, as well as a "hand-bell" mini-game that sees you ringing the instrument along with the pattern.

If you still think you're enough of a maestro to master it, stick with N-E as we hold our ears to the ground to find out a European date.
