Shigeru Miyamoto says that Wii Music is still in development, and is due for next year...

Shigeru Miyamoto has said that Wii Music should come next year, as he tends to only focus on a few products at once. In an interview with Game | Life, Shigeru Miyamoto said:

"I kind of focus on games in order, one by one. I'm focused on [Super Mario Galaxy and WiiFit] right now. So I'm thinking Wii Music might be good for next year sometime. Mario Kart, as well."

Miyamoto also said that he is paying as little attention as possible to other rhythm games such as Guitar Hero III and Rock Band so they don't influence Wii Music.

An early version of Wii Music was shown at E3 2006, and featured an orchestra and drumming minigames. It is unknown how the title has developed since then, or how many music-related games it will contain.
