News: Wii On Track To Hit 4 Million Target

Reggie says that Wii can even exceed 4 million units by the end of this year.

Once again, Reggie Fils-Aime has hit the headlines, claiming that Nintendo are still on target to ship 4 million units by the end of this year.

Today, Reggie even claimed that Nintendo might even exceed that figure. Good times, ahead.

Speaking at the Reuters Media Summit he said, "All systems are go for reaching the 4 million target we have in our financials by December 31. We will sell everything we make so now it's simply a manufacturing thing."

Reggie was also keen to comment on Nintendo's ageing handheld, the Game Boy Advance, saying that the system has at least one more holiday season left in it.

"For us, it continues to be a great stepping stone for five, six, seven year-old consumers to have their first great handheld gaming experience and then transition right into DS."
