Nintendo has released the Wii down-under, as well as in Italy and Switzerland.

Australia and New Zealand are the latest territories to recieve the Wii, just one day before the revolutionary console is launched in Europe. Many stores opened at midnight and are unsuprisingly already reporting sell-outs.

Italy and Switzerland have also seen the Wii's release today, due to local holidays where a December 8th launch would not be possible. Similarly, Spain won't see the Wii until a day after the rest of Europe, on the 9th.
