News: Wii Shipments Increasing In The UK?

It's being reported that Wii shipments within the UK are increasing...
With the Wii being out for 6 months now, you would expect to walk into your local store and just pick one up. This doesn't seem to be the case. After the Wii being out for this long, there is still a short supply for the console after all this time.
But fear not. Chart Tracker is reporting that the Wii Shipments in the UK have actually been increasing over recent weeks and they say that's why Wii Play has now reached number 2 in the all-format charts. GAME and HMV also said that they "expect the situation to improve by the end of May, with deliveries having steadily increased in recent weeks."
Boss of Nintendo UK, David Yarnton, had this to say to MCV: "We've sold close to 438,000 Wiis in the UK in five months. It's really hard to have targets - we have seen unprecedented demand.".
With this many Wiis sold it's no wonder that there is such a short demand. Will the increase in shipments help solve the shortage? We'll need to wait and see...
