News: Wii U Tentative Date, Final Version at E3

According to an investor meeting attendee Nintendo shared details about when they are thinking of launching the Wii U and when we'll see the final version.

When the Wii U was first shown during E3 earlier in the year fans were left with a mixture of surprise and confusion. While Nintendo showcased their eagerly anticipated new console certain key information was missing, but now it seems we'll find this information out soon.

Nintendo held an investors meeting earlier today and one of the attendees tweeted what happened, although Nintendo has also released the official outline of the meeting. According to the report the Wii U release window was discussed, as well as plans to show off the final build of the console at E3 next year.

According to Mr. Gibson Nintendo are keen not to "fumble" with the Wii U and he infers that by showing the Wii U at E3 2012 it means the console won't be out until the second half of the year. He also says there is an assumption that it will launch during September in Japan and November internationally, although this appears to just be speculation based on what was discussed as it is not mentioned in the official report.
