News: Wii U Zelda May Look Different Than Expected

Eiji Aonuma has stated in a recent interview that a Zelda game on Wii U might not necessarily look the same as the prototype demo shown at E3.

Nintendo unveiled a fair few prototypes showing off the capabilities of the Wii U at E3 but it's safe to say that one of the most impressive was the HD Legend Of Zelda demo which showed Link fighting a beast in a magnificent looking Temple - a temple to do with time, presumably.

You shouldn't get too excited for a new realistic Zelda on Wii U just yet though as Eiji Aonuma stated that things may and most likely will change for a new Zelda title, much like it did back in the GameCube era with Wind Waker.

"You probably remember that when we introduced the GameCube, we showed a somewhat realistic Zelda demo and what we actually created was the cel-shaded Wind Waker. So when we show a graphic demo, people think, 'Oh, this is what the next Zelda will look like,' but that's not necessarily the case."

With this in mind then, Zelda on Wii U could end up vastly different to the demo shown at E3. But who knows? and is it too early to even be speculating?
