News: Wii Zapper To Ship With Zelda Shooter

Fancy some light-gun inspired Zelda crossbow action? Too right you do.

Looking up, we can now see a hole in the roof of the N-Europe headquarters. That's where our Wii Zapper anticipation just went: sky high. The lovely people over at Opposable Thumbs have gotten news from Nintendo's current demo showing for games retailers held in Vegas that the attendees were given a world-exclusive look at... Link's Crossbow Training.

Looking beautiful running on the Twilight Princess engine, the third-person game is described as a "light-gun inspired Zelda title", where the player once again takes control of Link.

Nintendo said back at E3 that when the Zapper launches, it would have software bundled in to show off the new piece of kit. So it comes as no surprise that this will apparently come free with the peripheral when it launches at $20. No release date was mentioned.

Update: Nintendo have now confirmed that Link's Crossbow Training will be shipped with the Wii Zapper on November 19th in the US.

Link's Crossbow Training will have a similar graphical style to Twilight Princess and will see Link using his crossbow against progressively harder targets - from stationary bull's-eyes, to moving targets and then onto all kinds of enemies.
