Yoshio Sakamoto, Metroid's co-creator, has claimed that the next Nintendo home console will "leave you all with your mouth open."

As fans patiently wait for details on the Wii's successor it would seem that Yoshio Sakamoto has already had a chance to find out exactly what the console will do. Speaking to 3D Juegos, with a translation courtesy of Kotaku, Yoshio Sakamoto stated:

"At Nintendo we always have the obligation to surprise users with a new game console. We have never done what others have. We prefer to create something new that catches attention, and I think this will continue this time as well. Surely the new Nintendo machine will leave you all with your mouth open."

However fans will have to wait and see exactly what it is that has got Mr. Sakamoto slack-jawed as the console is not expected to be released for several years and Satoru Iwata has previously stated that Nintendo want to surprise fans with the news.
