A new tech-savvy race has been added to EA's portable god game, Populous DS.
Populous is an isometric god game that's been around almost as long as games have. Similar to other city management games such as Sim City DS 2, Populous allows the player to build their own civilisation and guide them through eras such as the prehistoric and medieval times.
EA have included a new feature in the DS version that will surely have the Nintendo fanboy/girl inside you screaming in ecstatic delight: the BitPlane.
This new building unit will grow and evolve as time passes. The incredible awesome folk that live here make their buildings out of Nintendo consoles, and you can watch as their civilisation grows from the Game & Watch through to a city dominated by a Wii, four Remotes and two Nunchuks. If you weren't already going to buy the game, perhaps that sealed the deal for you?
Populous DS is out now in Japan, though a European release date has yet to be announced.
