Intuitive controls? Multiplayer? Head inside to check it out.
E3 came and went pretty fast. We all know the drill. We saw some stand-out titles, and then saw some titles which just remained hidden amongst the masses. Wing Island, from Hudson, could be classed as one of these titles, which just seemed to fade away as soon as E3 was over.
However, with the impending release of the Wii looming, fresh details have emerged about this title. What is most exciting about this game is the innovative control scheme. The Wii controller acts as the yoke of a plane! Tilt it up and planes climbs in the air. Tilt it down and planes dive. Twist it left or right and planes performs barrel rolls.
Many of us were expecting these actions anyway. However, the gameplay will turn out to be much deeper than this. In Wing Island, you're not always flying alone. Take command of an aircraft squadron and change formation with the press of a button. Flick your wrist and your squadron will perform special tasks specific to the formation they're in. With incredibly intuitive controls, anyone can pick this game up and have a blast. What's more, two players can go at it in a series of competitive tournaments!
Other various details have become apparent, thanks to Hudson:
Nintendo's Wii remote acts as the yoke of the plane! A motion sensor relays aircraft control, producing flight simulation like never before!
Multiplayer support! See who can pop the most balloons or have a sky racing derby!
Unlock more planes! Planes get faster, stronger, and even easier to control.
A variety of missions and environments await you and your team of sky workers. Do you have what it takes?
It's sounding excellent at the moment. Hudson are still hopeful that this title will see a release at amongst other games at the launch of Wii.
