News: Woolworths, Argos Having Wii Stock Issues
Posted 06 Dec 2006 at 14:20 by Tom Phillips
Seems it isn't just Gameplay that are having problems...
After word that Gameplay are having trouble with their orders and will be unable to fulfill all of theirs on the day, both Woolworths and Argos have issued messages to some who have pre-ordered warning the same thing.
Again, Nintendo themselves have been blamed, with some shops left waiting for all their allocated units. Argos customers have been getting automated phone-calls informing customers that stock-shortages will mean they won't be able to fufill all pre-orders on the 8th. As for those who shopped with Woolworths, think yourself lucky if you haven't recieved this message:
"Nintendo have only shipped part of the promised stock for Nintendo Wii to all retailers within the UK. Due to this, we have only received part of our allocation. We are led to believe by Nintendo that we will receive all stock in time for pre-Christmas delivery. Please accept our apologies for this delay."
To all that have, we at N-Europe sympathise and hope more positive news reaches you soon. More as it breaks.
