TDK have just announced that World Racing 2 is in development.

Currently in line for a release on Gamecube, Xbox, PC and PS2. The new version is said to include Volkswagen cars in addition to the Mercedes line. The game is in development in the firms studios, there is no precise release date for the game, but expect more news as it happens!

What's more interesting than any of the above, is that this is the sequel to the easily-forgotten World Racing, which gained a great deal of undeserved popularity being as it was sold at GAME for �4.99 when purchased with any other game in the GC range. It's popularity due more to the fact that the disc was useful as a cheap travelling mirror rather than a quality piece of software.
