According to prowrestling.com, the upcoming World Wrestling Entertainment title for the Nintendo DS has received a new name. Full details can be read below.

Before now, the only thing we knew about the upcoming WWE game for the Nintendo DS was its title, WWE DS. At least, we thought we knew the title. According to ProWrestling.com, "...a new WWE video games entitled Superstar Aggression will be released for the Nintendo DS in late 2006."

Why the sudden name change that escapes from the normal WWE title formula? Most likely to accommodate for innovative changes in its gameplay, similar to when Activision opted to change Tony Hawk DS' title because it was so radically different from its console predecessor, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland.

Superstar Aggression will be published on the Nintendo DS platform by THQ. An exact release date is currently unknown, but we do know that its launch window is sometime in late 2006.
