The news European Wii owners have been waiting for...
After what seems like years of waiting on-edge, European gamers can expect a definite release of Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles very soon, with the epic Wii RPG set to hit PAL territories on September 2nd.
There will also be a limited edition of the game available, which comes bundled with a sexy red Classic Controller Pro.
Monolith Soft were perhaps best known to Nintendo fans for their Baten Kaitos games on Gamecube, but the studio may be remembered more for this gem in future years, with one Japanese survey having gamers and reviewers rating it as the best RPG of the entire generation. The European version features a full English voice translation, but also has the option of retaining the original Japanese voice track with subtitles.
Meanwhile, in North America, gamers continue to campaign for an as-of-yet unannounced release of the game. The Operation Rainfall movement has been making waves in recent days, gaining widespread coverage in the media. Gamers have been so vociferous that Nintendo of America have said they will make a specific statement on the matter very soon.
Will you be picking up Xenoblade Chronicles at the end of this summer?
