Progress on the Xenosaga 1+2 remake for the DS is steaming ahead. Namco has now opened up the game's official website...

Namco has made their Japanese Xenosaga 1+2 website live.

Fans of Namco's space opera RPG series were no doubt shocked when the company announced a comprehensive effort to remake the first two games...for the new Nintendo DS portable. Instead of trying to ape the series' trademark high-caliber 3-D visuals, Namco has instead chosen to reimagine the entire series in detailed 2-D sprites and artwork. Xenosaga 1+2 is targeting a March 30, 2006 release in Japan. Unfortunately concrete release dates for other territories is unknown, but chances are excellent that the game will see our shores as well.
