News: XSEED 'Looking Into' Fragile

There may be light at the end of the tunnel for western fans of Fragile...

Developed by tri-Crescendo, Fragile is a Wii-exclusive, story-driven adventure game which sent fans aflutter when it showed off its haunting soundtrack, gorgeous design and chilling atmosphere. In fact, after modest sales in Japan, you'd be forgiven for believeing the game was more popular with the the vociferous gamers of the west. Unfortunately, admiration turned to anger as it seemed the Namco title would not be released outside the Land of the Rising Sun.

Now though, after a sustained campaign to see Fragile given localisation, American publisher XSEED have announced interest in stepping in to release the game. A spokesperson for the company said:

"[We] Appreciate the heads-up on Fragile, it's a title that's been requested many times before so we're looking into it. To everyone that's written in to us, we will expect everyone to get their pre-order in the week that we announce it if we should get lucky enough to work on such a great looking title."

XSEED are notable for stepping in to release high-profile Japanese games in America. Their Wii titles include Little King's Story and Arc Rise Fantasia. We're sure American gamers would feel priviledged if the company added Fragile to that bow.

XSEED earlier announced they wouldn't be releasing Muramasa: The Demon Blade in the US. That game is now being published by Ignition.
