The Australian version of 'EDGE' have recently spoken to Sega's Yuji Naka about the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and Sonic on SSBM.

Yuji Naka has recently been keeping himself busy with Sonic Team's first Nintendo DS title, Feel the Magic. He discussed his interest in the Nintendo DS in the interview and seems as if he enjoyed working on his first title.

Also, Yuji Naka stated that as rumoured a long time ago Sonic was intended to be included in Super Smash Brothers Melee but due to time constraints he was excluded. However he did state "The experience has left a door open for us to work with Nintendo on something similar in the future," he added "So we may see Sonic and Mario working [or fighting] together soon."
