Xicat Interactive plans to port its successful PC fantasy game Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal to the major console platforms, including Gamecube, believing that the game's stunning visual and varied gameplay will make it a hit with console gamers.
Xicat, famous also for its Gothic and Metal Dungeon games, is very positive about this porting, as Brad Flack, US Director of Sales for Xicat Interactive declared: "Zanzarah is poised to be one of our biggest multi-console hits, the game has the ability to draw the attention of younger and older gamers alike with its amazing visuals; it's after that people notice how riveting Zanzarah's gameplay is. We're very excited to be bringing this stunning game to its rightful home on each of the major consoles."
Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal is an adventure game that has as the main character a young girl called Amy, that escapes from this world in to the magical world of Zanzarah, where she will gain magical powers and will use trained demons and fairies to battle her enemies in the quest of saving the magical realm from destruction. RPG elements and multiplayer split screen challenges between two trainers are also featured.
The game is expected to ship in Q4 2003.
