3DS also bolts for Christmas glory...
It's that time of week again where we see how doomed Nintendo is in Japan, and it looks like the house that built Mario has scored a double-whammy in the software and hardware charts.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword took the top spot with a debut comparable to console entries, but somewhat under the lighter, handheld versions. In a week of several new releases, Super Mario 3D Land holds firm at number 4 achieving what almost all other big names fail to: consistent sales. It hardly dropped on last week's number, surely proving it to be a handy cash-cow for Nintendo going into the holidays.
The software chart for November 21st through November 27th is as follows (as usual, non-new releases are shown with life-to-date sales):

3DS continues to pick up steam, and it looks like it's now going nowhere but up leading into Christmas, managing to easily outsell all other systems combined. With an eye on next year's always-potent mainline Dragon Quest sequel, it might be safe to say that Zelda gave Wii its penultimate software-driven hardware bump.
