Sales of the 3DS soared in Japan last week thanks to a certain young boy named Link.
As expected last week's release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D helped boost sales of the Nintendo 3DS in Japan back to the top spot. Since the release of the console in February it has constantly swapped positions with the PSP, which this week is number two in the charts. However, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D has helped the 3DS boost ahead.
In spite of helping the 3DS out The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D was not the biggest selling title last week. As in the UK the title entered the charts in number two, behind Little Battle eXperience in Japan. The title sold 164,110 units, making it one of the 3DS' biggest selling titles so far.
