Nintendo 3DS owners were quick to pounce on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

Following the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D last Friday gamers have snapped up the title at such a rate that it has become the fastest selling 3DS game in the UK. Over the weekend 100,000 units were sold, more than the total number of units for Pilotwings Resort since its launch three months ago.

Nintendo of America's president Reggie Fils-Aime spoke about how Zelda is a key franchise fans have been waiting for and the sales of Ocarina of Time 3D seems to suggest just that.

However, in spite of its record breaking sales The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D didn't make it to the top of the UK charts this week. The biggest selling title last week was Zumba Fitness: Join The Party for the 360 and Wii, a title that has grown as popular as the fitness regime it is based on.
