Nintendo Account registrations are open!

The wait is over: starting today you can register your Nintendo Account, the official successor of Club Nintendo which shut down last June. Registration is extremely easy. Go to the Nintendo Account website and create a new account, or login with your NNID, Google+, Twitter of Facebook account. After a quick verification you are set up for the next step in Nintendo gaming. After completion, you can link additional social networks to your profile.

While you are at it, you can also pre-register for Nintendo's first smartphone app Miitomo, which will be available for iOS and Android. Registration is available in UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Luxemborg, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, U.S, Canada. You can register here. It also awards you with a fresh amount of Platinum Points when the game comes out. These points are valid for six months.

We are pleasantly surprised about the easiness of setting up the account, especially when looking at how Nintendo handled this in the past. Have you set up yours? And how do you feel about the new services? Let us know!
