Nintendo's initial foray into the mobile gaming market will consist of five different games in five different genres, according the company conscripted to partner the Big N's mobile initiative.
Speaking to Pocket Gamer, the CEO of DeNA's West division, Shintaro Asako, said that due to the broad range of preferences consumers have for different genres - "some people like RPGs, casual games" - Nintendo and DeNA are initially preparing five titles that spread across five genres.
As was already expected, the first of these titles will be released by the end of 2015. The other four will be released through til the end of March 2017.
When initially explaining Nintendo's vision for the mobile market, president Satoru Iwata said that the focus the companies would have is a long-term commitment to each mobile game through "ever-evolving services", rather than simply releasing a high volume of titles.
