Nintendo Direct broadcasting tomorrow afternoon

Janaury Nintendo Directs are getting to be a bit of a tradition now, as is the Big N announcing them at the last possible minute. The company has confirmed that the first Direct of the year will be broadcast worldwide tomorrow afternoon.

The video is being billed as having "a focus" on spring 2015 releases for Wii U and 3DS - not that that gives away an awful lot. An official release date for the New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL might be a safe bet for the headline announcement, as well as perhaps more on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.

On the Wii U front, there are plenty of games to be expected later in the year, so it's something of a guessing game as to which will be ready first. Safe to say that eyes should probably be on your Yoshis and Kirbys rather than your Zeldas or Star Foxes. Perhaps we'll also see a bit more of future waves of amiibo figures.

The Direct airs tomorrow at 14:00 GMT (15:00 CET), and you can watch it in the usual place.
