The Nintendo Direct conferences are becoming an important feature in Nintendo fan's calendars.  

The last one took place just before E3 2012 and saw Nintendo's president Satoru Iwata unveil a redesigned Wii U GamePad, the Wii U Pro Controller and give details about the Miiverse.

Mr. Iwata is set to once again unveil Nintendo news this Friday, June 22nd.  The Nintendo Direct conference is scheduled for noon in Japan, which is 4am in the UK and 5am in the rest of Europe.

According to Nintendo's website this Nintendo Direct conference will reveal more information about the Wii and Nintendo 3DS (translation courtesy of Andriasang).
