Nintendo discontinues NES Classic Mini in North America

In a statement to IGN Nintendo of America confirms that they will discontinue the Nintendo Classic Mini. Last shipments will be delivered to retailers in North America in April. Although there has not yet been an official statement about Europe or the rest of the world, we can expect that they will face the same faith.

The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition (as the system is formally called) faced limited stock since the launch in November 2016 due to low supply. The system however was and still is very popular (and for a good reason as you can read on our hands-on). This however is leading to insane prices on websites such as eBay.
