Nintendo reveals Club Nintendo successor

Nintendo has finally showed its plans for the long-awaited Club Nintendo successor. "Nintendo Account" is the (very inspiring) name of the new account type that we will be using from March 2016, and will link everything to everything. Well, sort of. It links Nintendo hardware (WiiU, 3DS and NX) to PC's, tablets and smartphones. Players will be able to hook up their Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and NNID. This also makes it possible to save your game and character data to the cloud.
More interestingly, along with the Nintendo Account comes a new reward system, which earns you credits simply by playing games. It is unknown if this works with achievements or play time. These credits can be used for in-game purchases, game discounts, goodies, and very interestingly, they may be useable in theme parks and cinemas.
Finally Nintendo revealed Miitomo, an iOS chat app using Miis. Users can chat with each other, while the Miis also chat with each other (probably in a Tomodachi Life-like style). These Mii babbles may lead to conversational icebreakers for the real chatters; who knows what you have in common with your chat partner? Miitomo is the first mobile app released by Nintendo itself (not counting the Pokémon apps which are courtesy of the Pokémon Company). The app launches at the same time as the new account system. There were no mentions of an Android or Windows Phone version.
So are you excited about these plans, and how do you feel about the new reward system? Let us know in the comments below!
