The successor to the Nintendo Switch has been announced, simply called the Nintendo Switch 2. The new console featues many similar elements to the Switch, such as a screen with detachable controllers, but is bigger and more powerful. The new controllers are now magnetically attached and can function as an optical mouse. The Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with Switch games, although those exceptions have not been detailed. More details will be announced in a Nintendo Direct on the 2nd April, and you can register for a chance to get tickets to an event in various cities, such as London for the UK, at Nintendo's website.
