While you can now play SNES titles thanks to the Nintendo Switch Online SNES service, Nintendo doesn't want you to forget about the equivalent NES service, so it has released an update to make it on-par with the SNES version.

This means that you can now sort your NES games by either Title, Order or Release Date, Time Played or Total Time; which is very welcome indeed.

But the true megaton feature of this update for both NES and SNES applications, is the ability to turn off the bar which appears during gameplay at the bottom of the screen informing you of the controls!

It may be a useful aid for anyone who hasn't played a NES or SNES game in their life but for veteran Nintendo gamers this "feature" was nothing but an eyesore, so the ability to remove it is a godsend.
