3DS redesign is unlikely as Miyamoto is satisfied with current hardware
Shigeru Miyamoto discussed the 3DS recently and stated that he is "satisfied with the 3DS hardware right now". Miyamoto has also claimed that they are thinking about the next generation of Nintendo handhelds.

Satoru Iwata has stated that both him and Shigeru Miyamoto are currently 'directly involved' in the development of classic Nintendo franchises but can't reveal the titles yet in fear of being copied.

Ubisoft prepared to port Wii U titles to tablets and smartphones to lower development costs
