While fans may have had to wait many years between Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3, it seems there won't be such a wait for Pikmin 4.

Speaking to Eurogamer recently, Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that not only is Pikmin 4 in development, but it is also "very close to completion".

He did not give any details about when it would be released or even for what console, with the Wii U, 3DS and NX all being possible contenders.  However, we hope to find out more information about the next entry in this plucky series soon.
