Pokémon Duel launched today around the globe for both iOS and Android devices. The game has been out in Japan for about a year under the name Pokémon Comaster, but now joins the growing list of Pokémon mobile apps in the West.

The game focuses on building a team of Pokémon collectibles, which you then use on a play board to defeat your foe. Winning online matches against opponents gives you optional new figurines. The more matches you win, the higher your rank gets and the more different Pokémon you can collect.

Further you can collect Gems and plates which are used to open up booster packs. And of course the in-app purchases help to speed up the collecting process for those in a hurry to collect them all!
