Pokémon Go is an ambitious Pokémon project set for mobile in a joint venture between Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, being developed by Niantic. Creating mass hype last year with its reveal trailer, Pokémon Go is an AR app for iOS and Android that has users travelling the world to capture Pokémon in certain areas using GPS technology.

The Pokémon Go Plus device wraps around the wrist like a watch and notifies the player about Pokémon and events nearby via vibrations and an LED light. The device is available to pre-order now for £34.99 from the Nintendo UK Store.

The idea for Pokémon Go was first conceived in 2013 by then Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and Tsunekazu Ishihara of The Pokémon Company.

Pokémon Go is set for a late July release this year on iOS and Android
