Pokémon Rumble U trailer shows off gameplay footage

Pokémon Rumble U is nearly set for release in Japan which is exciting news indeed. Games in the Rumble series don't usually cause much of a stir but this latest instalment is Nintendo's first foray into the world of NFC gaming.

This eShop title, set to arrive in Japan next week, will be the first game to make use of the Wii U NFC reader and will require gamers to purchase real Pokémon toys which can then be scanned into the Wii U and used in-game.

This new trailer sadly doesn't show off any of the NFC aspects of the title but instead focuses on gameplay footage of Pokémon attacking a giant enemy Groudon.

With the added complications of NFC, a European release is still being decided. Do you hope to see this game make it over to our shores? And would you be happy to join the NFC craze?
