With Pokémon Sun and Moon mere months away we're getting more and more details about the next generation Pokémon game and there's some treats for long-time fans of the franchise.
A new video, available below, showcases some interesting changes in Sun and Moon. Some Pokémon from other regions get different evolutions in Alola, with Exeggutor gaining quite a bit of height thanks for the region's sun. Meanwhile other fan favourites such as Vulpix and Sandshrew, as well as their evolutions, are different types with a different look in Alola.
Certain Pokémon also have different styles depending on which of the four Alola islands they come from and the video demonstrates a few of these.
More details about new gameplay mechanics are shown as well. You can ride on certain Pokémon on the land, sea and in the air to get around, although whether it is in certain areas such as in past games or throughout the game remainds to be seen. Each island has a challenger than you must defeat as part of your rite of passage and a totem Pokémon that itself can call on other Pokémon to help it. Not only that, but you must also battle each of the islands Kahunas in order to progress.
Finally, the video demonstrates a brand new feature: Z-Moves. These super powerful moves can be used once per battle and are in addition to your four usual moves. Each type has its own Z-Move and a few of them are shown off in the video below.
