Bandai Namco has revealed Project X Zone 2 for Nintendo 3DS, set to launch worldwide later this year.

The original game, which was mildly successful, released a couple of years ago and brought together characters from the stables of Bandai Namco, Sega, and Capcom in a colourful tactical RPG romp. It featured a hugely diverse cast, mixed the likes of Resident Evil's Jill Valentine, Devil May Cry's Dante, Ulala from Space Channel 5, and even KOS-MOS- from Xenosaga.

The sequel will once again collide the universes of all three studios, with newcomers including Leon Kennedy, Shinobi, and Strider.
