The third special Ranked Battle mode heads to Splatoon this weekend as Nintendo has revealed that Rainmaker will be playable from Saturday morning.

A sort of cross between the game's Tower Control and the common-or-garden 'capture the flag', Rainmaker is a race to grab the aforementioned Rainmaker creature and haul it to the goal near your opponents' spawn point.

Rainmaker will sit alongside Splat Zones and Tower Control as Splatoon's Ranked Battle modes. More new modes are promised for the future.
