Renegade Kid developing episodic Moon remake for 3DS

Nintendo fan-favourite indie studio Renegade Kid has ended long-running speculation by confirming on IGN that its next project is a remake of its 2009 FPS Moon.
Moon Chronicles is a ground-up remake of the sci-fi shooter, and will be split across four episodes. The first episode will cover approximately 4 hours of gameplay, with the subsequent episodes around 2 hours each.
The publishing rights for Moon recently reverted to Renegade Kid, so the developer will be releasing Moon Chronicles itself on the eShop.
If all goes to plan, Renegade Kid confirmed that it intends to release a 'Season 2' next year, set after the events of Moon.
Moon Chronicles features completely touched-up 3D graphics, and will run at 60FPS in both 2D and 3D. There is also support for the Circle Pad Pro. You can check out comparison screens of Moon and Moon Chronicles over at IGN.
