Texas-based indie studio Renegade Kid is working on a brand new first-person shooter for Nintendo 3DS, it has been announced.

The news came in the inaugural issue of Nintendo Force, with Renegade Kid's own Jools Watsham confirming the news later on Twitter.

The game will be released on the eShop, and will be a brand new IP. The developer has previously released 3 excellent first-person shooters for Nintendo DS - horror title Dementium: The Ward and a sequel, and sci-fi adventure Moon.

The new 3DS game is set to be revealed at PAX East event in March.

Renegade Kid is also close to releasing the definitive and expanded version of a previously released eShop title - Mutant Mudds Deluxe - on the Wii U eShop.
